A letter from me to you:
Hi, I'm Sariah.
I'm a cinematic photographer based in Southern California, and for me, photography has always been about storytelling.
I first picked up a camera at 14 while working on my high school's journalism team. At the time, my dream wasn't actually photography — it was writing and film directing. I loved movies and the way they could make people feel something, and I knew I wanted to tell stories of my own.
Somewhere along the way, I realized a single photograph could do the same thing.
Because of that background, cinematography still influences everything I create. I don’t photograph poses, I tell a story. Although I began photographing professionally in 2022, I've been chasing stories since I was young. My goal has never been to simply document how your day looked — my goal is to make you feel something.
